What Dossi does for you.

Set it up once, and Dossi handles the meals, the tuning, the exercise, and the safety—so you carry less of it, day to day.

1 Set it once

Set it up once. Dossi does the tuning.

Enter your starting therapy settings and connect Apple Health. From there, Dossi keeps basal, sensitivity, and carb ratios current—so you're not the one adjusting them every week.

  • Connect Apple Health — Dossi reads heart rate, steps, active energy, workouts, and sleep as context for its decisions.
  • Live tuning — each five-minute cycle nudges your sensitivity from recent, clean readings.
  • Recalibrates daily — about once every 24 hours it checks for real drift and updates your settings, bounded so a few odd days can't swing it.
  • Clean data only — it learns from clear correction and meal outcomes and leaves lows and rebounds out.

2 Meals

Log a meal by photo, text, or chat.

Describe a meal any way you like, and Dossi turns it into an editable dosing input—keeping carbs as a range when the estimate isn't precise, instead of forcing a false exact.

Full meal context feeds eight learned absorption categories—fast carbs, liquid, high-fat, high-protein, high-fiber and more—so insulin timing reflects the meal, not one fixed curve.

  • Extended bolus front-loads part of a dose and defers the rest to a cancelable tail
  • Save favorite meals and re-log them in a tap
  • Every input stays reviewable and editable before it doses
3 Exercise

It adjusts for exercise on its own.

Activity can pull your glucose down for hours. Dossi notices and adjusts, so a walk or a workout doesn't turn into a low you have to chase.

  • Detects exercise from sustained heart rate and motion—no manual mode to switch on.
  • Eases insulin on high-movement days from your steps and active energy.
  • Carries the hours-long sensitivity tail after a workout, when lows are most likely.

4 Controller

It re-decides your insulin every five minutes.

Each cycle, Dossi combines your glucose, insulin, meals, activity, and prediction confidence, chooses a bounded adjustment, and runs it through independent safety checks before anything reaches the pod.

Model-predictive control

A real optimizer searches every five minutes for the delivery that keeps you in range, weighting predicted lows over highs.

Modes you control

Manual, Auto-Adjust, or Adaptive—plus Conservative to Aggressive correction strength.

Basal escalation, with brakes

Steps basal up when you're stuck high, and backs off the moment glucose falls or insulin on board is already working.

Confidence-aware

Uncertain carbs, noisy CGM, or a shaky forecast make it act less assertively.

Works with your insulin

Fiasp, Lyumjev, and more—and Afrezza, the inhaled insulin, modeled on its own.

Reviewable trace

5 Safety

The safety net never turns off.

The safety backbone stays on, and protective behavior always takes priority over everything above.

1

Low-glucose suspend

If you're low or trending into a trusted predicted low, basal is suspended until recovery.

2

Predicted-low protection

Forecasts are checked for hypo risk, with guards against artifacts when glucose is high and flat.

3

Basal safety gates

Increases are capped, blocked, or suspended when current risk does not support more insulin.

4

Post-low recovery hold

After a treated low, Dossi holds off re-dosing until you're stable and leaves the rebound out of learning.

5

Critical alerts

Urgent lows can break through silent mode and Focus, so the alerts that matter still reach you.

6

Sick-day mode

Illness and stress rewrite the rules. Sick-day mode adjusts targets and sensitivity for the days your body isn't behaving normally.

6 Insights & help

See what's going on, and ask about it.

Dossi turns your data into a readable feed of insights—connecting glucose patterns to meals, activity, and dosing—so you can see what needs attention without digging through raw diabetes data.

When you want to dig in, the AI assistant answers in plain language, grounded in your own history. It's a guide, not a medical advice source—you and your care team make the calls. And your data is yours: export it anytime.
